MONDAY
I'm still feeling the tremors. My apartment still stands, as do Maggie's houses, as does Joy's house, Pastor Pete's house. Pastor Pete's church, First Church at Warrensberg, as do Gina and Jeff's house, as does Bates City Restoration Branch. With an epicenter in Independence,MO, we were hit by a 10.0 earthquake on the Rhicter scale. The devastation is mind-boggling! Yet somehow Maggie and I still have power and full utilities at our places. So does Pastor Pete. The tremors and quake interrupted Pastor Pete's funeral.
I knew this was coming. I just didn't know when. Life as we know it, is at a standstill. Cindy is staying at Pastor Pete's. Fred is letting Colt stay with me if he behaves himself. It's good to have him as a roommate again.
I'm tired. Goodnight. (I'm sleeping on the foldout bed in the living room and letting Colt sleep in my bedroom, to be nice, so he can be comfortable.)

TUESDAY
Still feeling the tremors.
Things just went from bad to worse. Several times in my apartment I had to duck and cover and not look directly at the thermalnuclear explosions in several local areas. Then the poison gas and wings of steel o'errhead, and to top it off, people are obviously dead, walking about in the streets. Maggie and Colt are with me. Cecil came over here this morning telling me and Maggie that God wanted him to marry us now, so she could abide in my house before things got worse. We invited our neighbors over for a wedding feast after the ceremony, fed each other bread in lieu of cake, and as soon as Cecil and Joy returned to their house and called and said they were safe indoors I was fortunate me Mags and Colt were not facing the window because we saw the flashes and ducked and covered immediately. Later we peeked out the window to see WWZ and WW3 had begun simultaneously. I gave Steve a Book of Mormon, said, here, read this, locked my doors, and about fifty minutes later made love to my wife for the first time, at Ground Zero. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed one another's company.
Goodnight.

THURSDAY
Maggie went out to get some Iodine tablets for our water supply and when she came back she described her adventures fighting zombies and avoiding getting stopped at checkpoints and avoiding Chinese and Russian troops as horrendous. The details were the stuff of shows like The Last of Us and The Walking Dead. She brought us lots of needful supplies and an eight month supply of coca cola in an ice box. Oh it hit the spot. I told Ian how I fared. Somehow, Ian still has the internet, and so does Shane. Ian has finally gotten a healthy dose of reality. Shane was more prepared than all of us. I gave my friend in England a report from America. I sought my friend in the Philippines but he hasn't answered yet on MeWe.
I was able to call Pastor Pete. He has learned to adapt.
I binged a whole bunch of DuckTales17 cartoons from where I left off (Season 3) today with Maggie and started on the DuckTales 1980's original series with her.

FRIDAY
I went out to get the mail. I conned my vantage, as Cort taught Roland to, and looked up also. The coast was clear so I opened Steve and I's mailbox. Mine was stuffed with things that had previously been held back. I delivered Steve's mail to him and came inside with mine, and read at least 20 personal letters from people and opened other kinds of mail.
Maggie and I binged more of the Clone Wars series today.
Then we watched more DuckTales.
I then watched two movies on Netflix with Colt as Maggie started reading The Book of Mormon for the first time in her life.
Goodnight.

SABBATH-SATURDAY
We all rested from our labors today. During a weekday, in our present circumstances, there is an awful lot to get done.
We enjoyed the rest. I explained to Maggie and Colt that tomorrow, the Lord's Day, we are to rest and worship, but not leave any necessary work undone, and that tomorrow nothing was permitted to go to waste.
Maggie and I prayed together. We studied the Scriptures together. We worshiped together. It was a good, relaxing day.

LORD'S DAY
We heard a huge explosion over to the west of us about 3:00 PM CDT.
We have no idea what it was. We have since the beginning of this ignored all knocks. There was a lot of knocking and calls of 'open the door!' and 'open the $#@! door!' today. Much pounding. Some of the cries, later were from others, both in Russian and Chinese, which Maggie translated for me. Knocking, pounding, pleading, offers of incentive and reward for opening up. But we did not budge.
Instead, we finished DuckTales17 Season 3, read more of Ian's fanfics, binged hulu and Clone Wars, did our necessary work, and let nothing go to waste. It was harder for Colt to keep these rules than it was for us.

MONDAY
I went out with my Cross and walking stick to get the mail today, conned my vantage, looked up and saw some warplanes. I put a gasmask on and held my breath as I got the mail for Steve and I. When I got back in, I took my gasmask off and told Maggie and Colt what I had seen. Maggie made me get in the shower and she washed me off and put some poison gas antidote powder on me. As she dried me off, she immediately put the towel in a separate washtub from the rest of the laundry she was doing, and she had me drink a solution to cobat the effects of the poison gas residue in me. Then she told me to get some bedrest. At 11:00 PM I got up to write in my journal. Goodnight.

TUESDAY
Maggie took my Cross and Walking stick out and got the mail for Steve and I today. When she came back in she reported staving off and fighting three zombies. We got some VERY important new mail today. They are finally starting to send Maggie mail here. Even Colt got a letter, from Pastor Pete, addressed to this apartment, relating to him his adventures. Colt let me read it.
Maggie and I are now on Season 5 of The Clone Wars and Maggie has taken to reading Ian's fanfics to me. Maggie is also really enjoying the Book of Mormon, and believes in it now, but has not gotten a testimony for it yet.

WEDNESDAY
We heard pounding on our door again and 'Let me in, it's PETE!'
Pete had arrived with fresh survivalist supplies. Cindy, Jo's sister and Beverly and Barbara and Denita were crammed into the car with him. He helped us get them in. He asked if we could put up a few of the ladies. He gave us some warm cots and bedclothes. We drew straws. Jo's sister and Beverly will be staying with Maggie, Colt and I. The others will be staying at Pete and Denita's. It's going to be a full house.
We spent about two hours establishing ground rules and boundaries.
We all spent the rest of the day doing chores, reading books and watching TV on and browsing the Internet.
