The First Day of Summer Break

  Today I decided to start an E-Journal. And it's not because Dad got this SUPER TERRIFIC computer when his school bought all new computers this spring. And it's not because I actually get to have this computer IN MY ROOM! (Can you believe it?) And it's not because Dad bought me this VERY  cool E-Journal software for my VERY good report card, and it has all this neat stuff, like web links, E-mail, and Instant Messaging.  No, that's not why I'm starting this E-Journal today.
   You want to know WHY? Because I want to!
   The fact is, this is sure to be a FREAKY summer -- probably the FREAKIEST summer of my life. (And i've been around for over ten years!) So I figure I'll need an outlet, and I think writing about everything that happens will be a good way to deal with it.  I've kept diaries and journals FOREVER (true enough -BLS), but I've NEVER kept one on the computer.  This will be awesome.
   The last journal I had was in one of those blank books with black pages -- the kind you write on with Milky Pens. Anyway, I used to take that one to school, and I would use it during lunch whenever our teacher was mad and made us have "quiet lunch." (Who EVER invented THAT? Lunch is for talking!!) I'd pass the journal around the table to my friends and we'd write our conversations in there.  It was almost better than talking, because we could read it over and over. (But don't tell my teacher that.)
   Anyway, this E-Journal will be even cooler than that, at least once I figure everything out.  I already know how to use the different fonts --- (a wild-ish font/)iSNT THiS KiND OF NEAT?[size=100] [/size][size=100][size=75](/a wild-ish font)[/size][/size][size=100] [/size][size=100][size=75](Comic Sans MS/) This is supposed to be like comics. (/Another wild-ish font face) I can even make cool wallpaper for the backgrounds.  There's also a spell-checker.  If only I could bring this computer to school for spelling tests!
   Hey! I've got mail! ! It just arrived in my E-mail box!  I set it up so music will play whenever I get mail.  I can program the computer to play any music I want from my CDs.  But for now, I'm listening to the music that's in the software package, which is like all 1970's television music.  The "Woody Woodpecker" theme is playing right now.  I like 1970s stuff, but not as much as I like 1960s stuff.  My favorite band is the Beatles.  (Of course, I like Britney Spears and N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys, too!) I think I'll record some Beatles music onto the E-Journal next. I better stop writing and see who sent me mail!
