SABBATH

Maggie called me at 2AM and exulted about how the Book of Mormon was totally awesome and how she believed in it. She said she compared it to the Bible and it matched 100% in doctrine. She said she was 75% done with it, and wanted more and asked if there was more. I told her that if she finished the rest of the Book of Mormon believed in it and got a testimony, there was then the Doctrine and Covenants and the Sealed Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham and the Inspired Version of the Bible, but she only needed to finish the Book of Mormon and believe in it to read The Sealed Book of Mormon, the rest of that can be found on www.lds.org and www.3scriptures.com . She squealed in excitement and said 'MORE MORE!' and she talked to me about Gospel-related things for about an hour then we hung up.

This morning Maggie showed up at my doorstep and she told me she had a testimony for the Book of Mormon. 'The Book is True' she said. 'MORE!'

I went upstairs and got a fresh copy of the Sealed Book of Mormon. 'The Sequel' I said. 

She looked pleased with it. She left with it and told me she'd been reading the LDS and RLDS DC, Inspired Version and RLDS Church History and had read the Book of Abraham. She said the Book of Moses was pretty much the first several chapters of the Inspired Version of Genesis. I asked her if she had ever read the ANF Church Fathers and she said she had. That had been a required course in Seminary, she said. She said the First and Second Century Fathers matched the Restoration. She especially liked Clement's Stromata and the Gospel of Barnabus, minus the Muslim corruptions. She had found the Acts of Paul and Thecla interesting but fictitious. She told me Pilate and his wife Procla died martyrs at Rome and Mary was a perpetual virgin and she liked the Gospel of Thomas and loved Plato and Aristotle, Archimedes, Euclid and Herodotus and Augustine and Thomas Aquinus had errors in them. That said it all.

This afternoon Maggie called me and told me The Sealed Book of Mormon was true. She said a light had shone upon it through her window and a voice told her it was of divine authenticity. I told her that a RLDS elder had had the same experience with the first part of the book. She wanted to know more about Mauricio Artur Berger. So I told her a lot about him and his experiences. She told me she was on Volume Three of RLDS Church History and she could only get a divine witness for parts of LDS DC 132. I told her what I knew of the history of that section. That Brigham Young had added the polygamy parts and kept it in a lockbox and revealed it to the Utah Church later as the Mind and Will of the Lord through Joseph Smith, Jr. I told her how Mason Albert Pike had directed Brigham Young to take over the Church and how Brigham Young had, by his own admission, taken part of the Saints out to Utah to practice polygamy.

She said she felt firmer and firmer in her newfound faith and desired baptism.

"Pray for it" I said.

Two hours later Maggie called me and told me the Three Nephites had apeared to her in her livingroom and baptized and confirmed her into the New Covenant. She said she had been in prayer from the time I had said "Pray for it" until the time she was baptized. She was so happy. I congratulated her. She had been told she had to earn the Holy Spirit of Promise, as I had been told.

"Tomorrow we can go to the RLDS Church" I said. She was elated.

MONDAY

I gave Maggie two options: Watch Clone wars, then Revenge of the Sith, or just go straight to Revenge of the Sith. She chose the fist option. Maggie likes context.

I went out and took a long walk as Mags watched The Clone Wars series. When I came back to her house, she was on Season 1, Episode 8. She had started with Clone Wars 2003 Volume One and Two ant The Clone Wars Movie. We watched four Episodes together as we talked, then she drove me home, and I made dinner for myself, took my pills, brushed my teeth, read Scriptures and prayed and went to bed.
